Android 7 Nougat Update is Coming to Huawei P9 & Mate 8?

The latest rumour has knocked up with Chinese smartphone Huawei P9 to receive Android 7 Nougat update. Another device from the maker Mate 8 will also accompany for the update. The update will start rolling out from today.

Android 7 Nougat Update

Huawei has already entered into the Nougat zone. The way some smartphones were in line to receive Android 7.0 Nougat update, it had also hit the unlocked HTC 10 in the US in the last month. It was running Nougat update beta program on some of its higher-end phones. And now as per the recent rumour, Huawei P9 and Mate 8 users will get Android 7.0 build. Rumours also indicate that the update is set to reach on December 7th, i.e. today. The information is reportedly coming from Huawei’s leaked bundle of documents.

Though, we are hardly sure if this rumour turns out to be true. But here is a twist as the documents come with a few limitations. As per the document, the release date for the update is for the Chinese market. Therefore, when the devices go on a sale at the region will start receiving it.

The Android 7 Nougat update would be carrying the build number B352 for the model P9. While it is apparently B552 in the case of Mate 8. The document as a whole doesn’t imply any information when the updates would hit the market on other territories. But we expect to see the update being rolled across the world soon. The Chinese company has previously announced that the devices, P9 and Mate 8 are set to receive Android 7 Nougat update in the first quarter of 2017. Hence, if the rumours are to be believed then it is a mere surprise since the update is coming early.

The latest build will also incise the recent iteration of its own skin named EMUI. You will first see the Version 5.0 on top of Nougat. This is much efficient, user-friendly, and secure as per the company.
