WhatsApp has received the Android Wear Support – an update that is still in beta. It offers support to various Android Wear gadgets like the Samsung Gear Live and LG G Watch Smartwatches.
The updates allow the users to go through group messages and direct messages. Users will also be able to dictate voice replies or also see notifications from the messaging service from Facebook-owned messaging service.

The Android wear support version v2.11.322 update for download is currently available. However, the same isn’t still missing from Google Play Store, which signifies the beta release status. So, if you are a Smartwatch user, you can certainly give it a try. But, be warned that the implementation carries its share of bugs.
According to report from Android Police, there is still no authorized changelog for the Android Wear support. It notes that the users can view the entire messages on Android gadgets. The messages that can be viewed are direct and group messages too. And yes, the sender’s name is also viewable.
It should be noted that Android Wear support also brings in stacked WhatsApp notifications. This permits the users to work on more than one notification at once. Both reading message and replying is possible. Making life easier, users will be able to read out voice replies and that too with just one swipe.
Android Wear Support for Other App
Many companies before WhatsApp had brought out apps optimized for Android Wear. There is also a separate section on Google Play Store that is exclusively dedicated to such apps.
There are more than 30 apps on Android Wear Apps category on the Play Store that some of them from Google too – Hangouts being one of them. RunKeeper, TrueCaller, Match.com and Lyft apart from ViewRanger GPS are some of them.
The TrueCaller support for the Android OS has just been rolled out (only the previous month). With Android Wear support users can make calls as well as send text messages – all this with a single tap.
WhatsApp has been a favorite messaging app. And with the new features like these and the Android Wear support, it will make the app even more popular.
