Apple has allowed the bitcoin back into the App Store. There were rumors about the same for some time now, actually from early this month. There were rumors about Apple changing the policy and allowing the bitcoin wallets back into their store. The same has now materialized.

Ever since Apple removed bitcoin apps from the Store, there were lots of problems for people who used to send and receive bitcoins using iPhones.

Before the presence of Bitcoin Wallet CoinPocket, there were popular apps on the App Store like Coinbase and Blockchain. The frustration was more as there wasn’t any explanation for removing the apps.

Bitcoin Wallet CoinPocket Approved

In the second innings for approving bitcoin wallet, CoinPocket is the first to be approved. The CoinPocket wallet has been developed by Michael Enriquez, who comes from Cleveland. He had also built a web-based version of the app in the month of March. It was designed for receiving and sending bitcoins on iPhone.

Just a couple of weeks back, Apple reversed their division and permitted the apps back. This is when Michael Enriquez built a full-grown app designed for the iOS, which we now know as Bitcoin wallet CoinPocket. When Michael Enriquez applied for the app, Apple needed some more time for the review.

Apple is a bit cautious with its approval of the bitcoin apps. And that’s why they have been scrutinizing such apps with great care.

“It usually takes a few hours to get accepted after going into ‘In Review,’” he says “This time it took a few days.” But finally the Bitcoin wallet CoinPocket is here.

There have been around 2000 downloads of the app ever since it got into the App Store. And without doubt Bitcoin wallet CoinPocket will have more than that.

It now remains to be seen if Apple gives permission to similar apps if they come for approval. Apple hasn’t spoken anything about approving any other app other than allowing Bitcoin wallet CoinPocket in the App Store.
