BlackBerry has launched the BlackBerry Q5 in the Indian market for Rs 24,990 today – Tuesday, July 16. The phone is expected to hit the markets on July 20. This is the second such model with QWERTY keyboard. It comes with BlackBerry 10.1 OS.
The phone has a touch screen LCD display of 3.1 inches and comes with a resolution of 720 X 720. This phone is available in colors like pure white, pure red and black. The company has also announced that they will be offering EMI schemes for this model. This announcement is likely to bring in more customers for the phone.
Mr. Sunil Lalvani, who is the Managing Director for BlackBerry India, has expressed hope that the phone will bring in more customers from the young generation as the design is pretty attractive and colorful.
According to Mr. Lalvani, the USP of the Smartphone is the combination of the touchscreen features coupled with the QWERTY keyboard. That’s not all, there is a range of apps and the number is only growing with BlackBerry 10 apps.
The 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Processor is an added performance booster that is likely to lure potential customers.
The Smartphone comes with 2GB of RAM and has 8GB of internal storage. It can be expanded further by 24GB via microSD card. The phone is built with a 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera as well. For the battery backup, the Smartphone comes with 2180mAh battery.
