The BlackBerry Porsche Design Smartphone has been launched for the Indian market. The phone is certainly not for the common user as it costs a whopping Rs. 99,990.
BlackBerry Porsche Design Smartphone
There’s the custom-built Porsche Design P’9983 Graphite handset that the company will now start to sell. The same has been announced by BlackBerry. The company has been in troubled waters for some time now and is struggling.
The BlackBerry Porsche Design Smartphone is a phone that is custom built and so is naturally highly priced.
Launched in Collaboration with Porsche
The device was launched in the month of May this year. It’s a qwerty-styled phone like any other Smartphone today. The company puts the feature as ‘exclusive graphite-metallic colored elements’.
What Features Makes the Phone So Costly?
What’s the reason that makes the BlackBerry Porsche Design Smartphone so costly? Is it the features or the material that puts the price almost at six-digit mark.
However, there aren’t any killer features to talk about the BlackBerry Porsche Design Smartphone. The features are commonly seen in most other Smartphones quite easily.
Display & Resolution
The display is a 3.1-inch touchscreen that has a resolution of 720 X 720 pixels. The density is 330 ppi. Well, this is certainly not that makes you get excited. There are more of common specs that you will find in the BB device.
Processor & RAM
The handset is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, which was found in the devices in 2012. So, that just may not give it any weight as the processor looks to be three-years old, at least.
A 2GB RAM powers the device along with the Snapdragon processor. As far as storage is concerned, the inbuilt storage is 64GB. This is expandable up to 128GB with the help of a microSD card.
Still, with these specs and features, the BlackBerry Porsche Design Smartphone is a great option, especially for those who wish to make a style statement. As it is custom-built, it has more value than you can expect for that amount.
Speaking on the occasion, BlackBerry India director for sales and distribution Hitesh Shah said that there isn’t any compromise on the communication the device will offer to the users. The style won’t in any way cause a hindrance in the basic services a mobile phone offers.
