There have been a lot of talks about the LG G Flex with curved display. The latest is that the device will come to the Indian market in February next year. The LG G Flex has a 6-inch display.
LG has made the announcement in New Delhi. Though the initial details about the availability are now known, LG hasn’t thrown any light on the price. Therefore, there isn’t any confirmation about the same yet. However, Amit Gujral, who is the General Manager, LG Electronics, has said that the device may carry a price tag anywhere between Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 60,000.
Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean powers the LG device that runs on quad-core 2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) processor with an Adreno 330 GPU. There is 2GB RAM in the Smartphone. There is a powerful 3,500mAh battery in the phone. However, the backup time and the talktime haven’t been mentioned.
The Smartphone features two cameras. The front camera is 2.1 MP capacity and the rear camera comes with a capacity of 13MP. LG has used LOED panels for the display in this device. The same is built with plastic substrates and not glass. This will give it a longer durability and toughness.
The phone’s display will be indeed brighter and will be more precise for one reason. The company has used the Real RGB – Red Green Blue – technology. This will make it possible to have all these three sub-pixels into one single pixel.
There is also a ‘self-healing’ technology that LG has put into use. This will allow the phone to recover from the daily wear-and-tear and the scratches.
