Samsung Galaxy Note 7 India Customers
The cases of battery explosion of Samsung Note 7 has definitely damaged the revenue of the company. Samsung was taking back the devices from the customers. However, the company was offering fire-proof boxes to get the back the devices safe and sound. After a long wait for the Note 7, the company has finally decided to give away Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, instead of the defective device. The Galaxy Note 7 India customers had pre-booked the device and India launch was scheduled to take place on August 11.
Galaxy Note 7 production has been stopped, due to the reasons that have been causing the overheating of the device resulting in more accidents. The company after the first few overheating accidents decided to replace those units. But the replaced units did not help Samsung continue with their product. The Note 7 devices still had the same issues. The company had and has no clue on what could be the reason that’s making the smartphone overheated.
The Galaxy Note 7 India customers have now to settle for Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. The customers had pre-booked the device either by paying the entire sum of Rs 59,990 or through EMI. The Galaxy Note 7 India customers now need to contact their respective dealers to get their new device. Some of the customers had booked the Note 7 device from Samsung online.
On its website, Samsung said:
“Please accept our sincere apologies for not being able to deliver your loved Galaxy Note 7, and the inconvenience this has caused you. We thank you for your love and passion for Samsung Mobiles and are deeply touched by the support received from you. In lieu of the Galaxy Note 7 Pre-book offer, we would like to provide you an exclusive Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge offer.”
This is not it, to please its Galaxy Note 7 India customers, the company is giving away few more accessories with the new device. Apart from the earphone and the charger, that the device box usually contains; Samsung is also providing a stereo wireless handset and the Gear VR. The company is putting all its efforts to please the customers.
Adding some more offers, Samsung is providing a voucher worth INR 3,300, which is Oculus VR. The company is also giving away a one-time replacement of the screen offer within the tenure of 12 months. Terms and conditions are attached to this offer.
The customers could obviously decline the offer of receiving Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge instead of Galaxy Note 7. Not all customers would want another device and rather demand a refund. Some of the customers might be the loyal users of Galaxy Note series. These customers keep upgrading their device to the newly launched from the series. For those customers, it would be difficult to swap their demanded device to Galaxy S7 and S7 edge.
Customers can easily get a refund if they want to. Note 7 issues have severely damaged the Indian revenue and the company’s reputation in India. It is expected that the happy customers of Note series would either stick to their previous Note or might even change their brand.
For further details for receiving the new smartphone, customers need to contact their retailers from where they had pre-booked the device or the purchasing online portal.
