If the latest reports are anything to go by, Apple may introduce a variant of the iPhone in the gold color. The new generation variant is more likely to be released this year itself.
The iPhone in question will be the iPhone 5S. There was a report that carried pictures of parts of iPhone 5S that showed two distinct trays for SIM-cards apart from silver and bronze colored ones.
However, until the devices aren’t a reality, it can be safely taken as something exaggerated. This is because in the past too there has been news about several colors for the iPhone variants.
The news about the color variants for Apple’s iPhone was brought by Macotakara – a Japanese blog that focuses especially on Apple. Macotakara had suggested that the iPhones were due for multiple color production. The blog further mentioned that there would be colors like green as well.
A couple of months back, this Japanese blog had reported that there would be a range of colors for the iPhones, which will also include white and black. Inexpensive iPhone variants will have more color choices, the blog reported.
Some other sources were also informed that there would be a total of eight colors for the iPhones shortly. However, the most trustworthy information came from Tactus, who are the case manufacturers.
According to the images shared by Tactus, the back shell of the low-cost iPhone was in white. It looked like it has been manufactured from plastic polycarbonate. That confirms the possibility of iPhones having more colors.
