Google Home is a new smart home hub from the company, which is compatible with Samsung’s SmartThings. SmartThings being a major platform becomes a natural choice.
Google Home Works with SmartThings
Every person desires a smart home. The launch of Google Home is right at the corner. The search giant company is all set to make new revelations about its latest product. The company very well knows, that to make smart home a success it has to be compatible with other platforms. Believing a reliable source, Google Home will be compatible with SmartThings at the time of launch. Samsung’s SmartThings being an easy and popular selection, this is the first platform that is compatible with Home.
The compatibility with SmartThings was necessary. Just like Amazon’s Echo, Google new Home has the ability to control the appliances with your voice. Like controlling the room temperature and switching on/off the lights. Without the compatibility, Home would be a mere Bluetooth speaker. Google’s Home will be a new addition and a choice among the smart home assistant products with a speaker. The company has to increase its compatibility list, to compete with Amazon’s Echo.
Amazon Echo being its greatest competition that is already compatible with most of the other smart home lineups including SmartThings. Amazon Echo is also compatible with Belkin WeMo and Philips Hue. To beat Amazon Echo, Google Home has to broaden its collaboration with at least Belkin WeMo and Philips Hue.
The price and the product’s basic features were declared by the company, the price being $129. We should hear more about Google Home on October 4th, along with its other compatible apps and extra features. Is the brand name “Google” sufficient to carry the new platform on its shoulders?
