The Google Nexus 6 device won’t be released until fall according to some reports. As a matter of fact, the Senior VP of Google, Sundar Pichai avoided answering the direct questions about the release of Nexus. It will only be the second half of this year that the Nexus 6 will possibly be released.
“I can assure you it will not be released in the first half of the year,” the VP said. The Nexus 5 was manufactured by LG. The device was launched in the month of November 2013 and was built with the latest Android OS – the Android 4.4 KitKat.
There were some interesting and amusing quotations by the VP during the Mobile World Congress recently, who looks after Google Apps, Chrome and the Android OS. One of the statement was “We cannot guarantee that Android is designed to be safe, the format was designed to give more freedom.”
Upon this statement, Google had to come up with a transcript to pass the message across of what Mr. Pichai actually wanted to ‘say’.
Sundar Pichai also ignored and didn’t give importance to the reports that claimed that there was tension between Samsung and Google. However, the recently launched Gear Smartwatch runs on Samsung’s OS Tizen. But he was confident that the flagship Galaxy 6 device from Samsung will run on Android.
