HTC Corp. has come out as being the top selling mobile phone – handset brand in Taiwan. HTC is at the pinnacle of Smartphone brands in Taiwan on one hand, the Samsung Galaxy S4 has comprehensively beaten the HTC One in selling the S4, HTC has something to cheer about. The HTC has a market share of more than 30% (the figures are for the last month) in Taiwan.
The Butterfly phone has proved to be the popular 5” device from the house of HTC. The HTC One is also going steady for the brand and that has also helped boost some up to a considerable extent. There has hardly any competition for the home brand and HTC ruled the Taiwanese market with ease beating tough competition from overseas players.
However, reports are also speaking about the possibility that the Samsung Galaxy S4 launched toward the end of April and that could have given the HTC a potentially strong chance of reaching the zenith for the sales for the month. Samsung, however, managed a market share of 26.7%. With a share of 18.4%, Sony Corp. came in third.
Apple Inc. was at the fourth spot with a market share of a shade over 10%, while another Taiwanese company, AsusTek Computer was on the fifth spot for the sales for the month of April 2013.
For HTC, the HTC Butterfly was the prime commercial success that comes with a 5” full HD with a 1080p screen. As far as this Smartphone is concerned, it had a share of almost 7 percent in Taiwan.
