  • Introduction to Android TV Developments

Google smart TV’s Platform will conduct a session in I/O Developer Conference, and introduce and explain the Android TV developments with a presentation to the beginners. Google will showcase all the improvements, new APIs for the building and new features of the Android TV update on May 17th.

  • New Surprises down the Line

The first Android TV was set up in 2014, and with its increasing popularity, the users can easily enjoy Netflix and Hulu. It also allows the users to access the Google Play Store to download any android app. In recent times, it is pretty much clear that Google is not interested in Android TV. Now, Google is putting its main focus on other projects such as YouTube TV supporting other platforms except Android TV.

Apart from Android TV Update, the Box makers are working on other changes and willing to bring something extraordinary to the market. At CES 2017, NVIDIA launched “New SHIELD” Android TV Console integrated with Google Assistant. It will be interesting to see if Android TV is going to provide better live TV and MVPD support in the updates.
