Jio Prime & Jio User Plans: All You Need To Know

The Free Reliance Jio offers would soon be thing of the past and user would have to move to Jio Prime membership to avail the benefits.

Reliance Jio network had started its services on September 5, 2016. The sign-up offer of free unlimited data, call, and SMS were first available until December 31, 2016, and later extended till March 31, 2017, with the “Happy New Year Plan.” After it expires, Reliance Jio users who are willing to benefit from Jio special offers can sign-up for the Jio Prime membership.

So, what is this Jio Prime? What are the advantages of being a Jio Prime member? How can you get it?

 Jio Prime Rs.303 Plan

Jio Prime customers can continue to enjoy the benefits of the “Happy New Year Plan” by paying a minimum amount of Rs. 303 every month. The one-time Prime membership fee for the year costs Rs. 99. Jio users who have registered for the Jio Prime membership can get free unlimited voice calls and SMS and a full usage 4G data plan of 1GB per day for 28 days upon recharge of Rs. 303. The data is also unlimited under this plan. However, the 4G speed will come down to minimum speed after the full usage of 1GB/day.

 Jio Prime Rs.499 Plan

Jio Prime users who want more than 1GB of data per day can also avail the Rs. 499 plan, which offers 2GB of 4G data per day under Full Usage Plan (FUP) for 28 days. This is also an unlimited data plan like the Rs. 303 plan.

Jio Prime Non-FUP Plans

Prime users who do not want data limitation (FUP) per day can avail other Jio Prime plans that offer 4G data for the longer validity period.

The no FUP plans and their validity are as follows;

  • RC 999- 60 GB 4G data valid for 60 days
  • RC 1999- 125 GB 4G data valid for 90 days
  • RC 4999- 350 GB 4G data valid for 180 days
  • RC 9999- 750 GB 4G data valid for 360 days

Prime users can add data after FUP with booster packs from 1MB to 10GB at a price ranging between Rs.11.00 and Rs. 301.00

Non-Prime User Plans

So, what is the difference between a Jio Prime user plans and non-prime user plans? According to reports, non-Prime users will be unable to avail unlimited voice calls and SMS like the Prime users. They may also have to spend twice the amount for the data plans.
