The latest version of the iPad is going to be thinner and therefore lighter, but will be without the TouchID.
The end to the exciting wait for the device is just hours away. The product will be unveiled on October 22 by Apple. The device will come with a sleek design and will be a pleasure to watch and handle. However, the popular feature of fingerprint scanning is missing from the new device that was present with the iPhone 5S.
There will be the HD Retina display in the iPad5. On the other hand the miniature version – the iPad2 will be much lighter. These devices will not be available in the gold color as the same was seen with the iPhone 5S range.
There were speculations were that the new device will have the security feature of finger scanning. However, it does not seem to have materialized.
As far as the size of the device goes, it will be at least 20 per cent thinner as well as lighter than the present product. However, the narrow bezel design will stay as is seen in the iPad Mini.
There may be an 8MP camera in the iPad5, whereas the display resolution for the iPad Mini 2 will be 2048 X 1536 pixels. This is a direct competition with Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD or with Google’s Nexus 7 II. Though there isn’t the finger scanning feature or the absence of the gold color, there may be the M7 motion tracking chips with the latest iPads.
