The Chinese tech mega player Lenovo is targeting the potential Indian market with the Yoga 3 Pro tablet. Lenovo is expanding their reach to various markets in the world. And the Indian market is one of the best bets for launching and selling products.
Lenovo is trying to expand their products in India. There will be more products in the coming weeks and the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro tablet is one of them.
As far as the tab let concerned, the tab costs Rs. 1, 14,490. It can boast to be easily the slimmest tabs – ultrabooks – available today. The tabs will first be available in only Chroma stores and select Lenovo stores in the country.
Lenovo has about 10% of market share in India (sales figures according to GfK research firm) and ranks at the fourth place. Mr. Rohit Midha, who is the Lenovo India Director, Tablet Business Unit, told Press Trust of India news agency, that there will be more market growth in the future. He also added that tablets will perform better.
Keeping that in mind, the first introduction will be the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro tablet. The tab will give Lenovo some edge in the competitive Indian market. However, Mr. Rohit Midha did not comment on what market share Lenovo has in mind.
The devices that Lenovo will launch will be the fresh devices across the price range and form factors. The devices have been showcased at the CES this year at Las Vegas. The same products will be now made available to the customers in India.
As far as the global share of Lenovo is concerned, it is the third largest tab vendor. Apple and Samsung are the only two companies ahead of Lenovo at the moment (according to December quarterly figures).
