Micromax unveils LapTab tablet with dual-OS; to come out in Feb

Micromax has unveiled LapTab the company’s latest tablet. The tab is supposedly capable on running on two operating systems – the Windows 8 as well as the Android Jelly Bean. The device will be available for the consumers in the month of February.

The LapTab was unveiled during the Consumer Electronics Show that is underway in Las Vegas. The device is the first of its kind that will be available in both the Windows and the Android boot option. That’s why it is addressed as dual-OS.Micromax

The ability to have two operating systems will allow easy multitasking on various platforms. Users will have to reboot the gadget and select the desired operating system. What’s more, even switching between Android and Windows or even vice versa is also possible, according to the company.

The tablet is powered by Intel and 1.46GHz Intel Celeron processor. It comes with a 10-inch IPS display. It is bundled with 2GB of RAM and 7400mAh of battery. The internal memory is 32GB and can be expanded up to 64GB with the help of a MicroSD card.

You can work with wireless keyboard. There is 2MP front camera and is equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v4.0. There is also a feature called ‘transleeve’. This makes it possible to use it as a cover and also function like a stand, in case you are using a wireless keyboard.

The users will also be able to use customized stands. They will be available once the device is in the market for sales.
