Microsoft has decided to remain the SkyDrive as OneDrive. The OneDrive name has been taken after BSkyB – a British broadcaster had problems with the name SkyDrive. Even if there is a change in the name, the logo will be retained. There will be no change in the identity as far as the logo is concerned.
The two parties came on a settlement in the month of July last year. However, the sum in question wasn’t disclosed. These developments came after the BSkyB – the British Sky Broadcasting won the case in Britain.
Microsoft, on its part promised to make the changes ‘soon’. However, the US-based company didn’t provide any specific date when the changes would be brought into effect. The services of the company would continue in the same way as it has been all these days. Microsoft is in the middle of organizing its structure in the corporate field so that they can be able to devote more time on providing devices as well as services.
