Everybody loved Moto X style and Moto G and here we bring the Moto X Play review. Motorola decided to launch a new phone called Moto X Play. It has the same design as Motorola’s flagship phone.

Moto X Play Review

The device comes with a smaller 5.5- inch screen, but with a much bigger battery. The phone is quiet impressive especially as it is quiet affordable with great battery life. Moto X Play is in between the Moto G and the Moto X Style and it comes with a price tag of £279 for the SIM-free version.

According to Moto X Play review, it is definitely going to compete with the other best phones in the market. You can easily customize and personalize this Smartphone according to your taste. You have the option of replacing the silicone rear cover with any of the 14 different colors available. You can also customize the shade of the accent around the camera sensor at the back of the phone.

Simon Dyer, CEO of got a review model sent by Motorola and was kind enough to give his early verdict on the Moto X Play.

Design & Battery

Once again Motorola has come up with a device, which provides value for your money and with Moto X Play review, you will easily know it. It has to be admitted that the specs aren’t up there with some of the mainline flagships from Samsung and Apple, but it performs well in all areas. Good screen, nice design and from what I found in early testing a very good battery life.

It looks just like the Moto X from the front due to its slim bezels at the side of the screen. The speakers are above and below the screen, whereas the 5-Megapixel camera is on the top of the phone. If you listen to the music on high volume, you wouldn’t like the distortion. It comes with SIM card slot and micro SD card slot at the top of the phone.

With the Moto X Play review, you will find that the volume rocker button and the standby button are on the lower right side of the phone. The micro SD card helps in increasing the space up to 128 GB. The phone comes with two variants – one is the 16GB version and the other one is 32 GB version.

Weight & Thickness

It mostly consists of a metal frame which is quiet light weighing only 169 g. It is 10.9 mm thick and it comes with water repellent nano-coating which means it can bear a few drops of rain.

Display & OS-Processor

It has a 5.5-inch Full HD screen with 1080p and ppi pixel density. The colors are very vibrant and sharp. It’s running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. You can feel the presence of Motorolalimited to a few apps only with the pure Android experience. It is free from bloatware and it runs quite smoothly due to 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with an Adreno 405 GPU. You would love playing games on it without any delays.

Camera & Battery

Its rear camera is exactly the same as the camera of Moto X Style. It is 21-megapixel with an f/2.0 lens and a dual LED flash. You can see great photo results even in low light. It has an extraordinary battery life due to its 3,630mAh non-removable battery. You can play games on it for two days continuously without charging it. You can get 8 hours of battery life by charging the phone for 15 minutes only.
