Nokia has launched the Nokia Asha 501 – another gadget from the Asha series. Asha 501 has been priced competitively at just $99. With such an affordable price tag, Nokia has certainly gone ahead in making Smartphones available to a reasonably large number of people.
The design, the quality, the build and the brand – all remind one of the promises Nokia has shown behind the Asha 501. The interface is innovative and the Smartphone runs on the brand new Asha platform. The Asha 501 is the first of its kind device that will have this platform. With the new platform, the users will be able to experience faster responses to get the commands executed.
The Asha 501 is built with a 3” capacitive touchscreen. The phone sports one and only one back button. It has two primary screens – the Home and Fastlane. The Home screen is the one that is conventionally used where icons are placed and which is used for launching various apps.
Fastlane is the screen that will hold the information used by the users. It depends on what apps the people use and likewise, the Fastlane screen will be designed. Social networking apps or any recent contacts will be visible on the Fastlane.
The Smartphone was unveiled and the actual shipping will start from the next month. The phone that weighs only 98 grams, is expected to reach around 90 countries in the near future.
