The officials from the company have said that the schemes are especially for the markets Madhya Pradesh. The MP market is also likely to have handset insurance cover as well.
Nokia had already come up with insurance schemes from the month of March this year. The insurance takes care of the losses and damages to the handsets.
These include the handsets getting damaged accidentally by falling to the ground or being stolen or even damaged by a third party. The insurance cover also includes the damage to the internal circuit.
Last month, BlackBerry had also come up with EMI scheme for Curve 9220 and Z10 models. Nokia India has partnered with New India Assurance and is confident that majority of the cases can be settled in a week. The Finnish company will also be providing the alternative of replacing the gadget if the requirement says so.
It must be mentioned that the insurance is being offered on all models of Nokia mobile sets from the Nokia priority stores. The customer will have to pay either Rs. 50 or 1.25% of the handset price and will be valid only for one year.
