Recently, there are many rumors flooding the market for iPhone 8. But, the company will soon be launching OLED display for iPhone 9. Apple is ready to sign the deal with Samsung for OLED displays. Once the deal is signed, Samsung is going to supply OLED panels which are larger than 5.28-inch and 6.46-inch to Apple for iPhone 9.
Rumours about iPhone 8
Sadly, the OLED displays will be installed in iPhone 9 alone. But, for the users who are excited for iPhone 8, the device will be made using stainless steel and glass. The company is trying to design a bezel-less 5.8-inch OLED display for the front face of the device.
Updates about iPhone 7
The company has agreed with Samsung for OLED displays. Samsung has promised to deliver 180 million units with 5.28-inch and 6.46-inch dimensions. Apple is also working on the design of iPhone 7, which is still using that basic design. There are high chances of getting an updated versions of 4.7-inch iPhone 7 and 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus along with new iPhone 8.
What about 7s phones?
The company need some time to shift to OLED displays that is why 7s phones are launching with same LCD panels. It is expected that by the end of next year, the company will shift to all-OLED display iPhones. For iPhone 8, the company is signing a deal with Samsung for 70 million OLED screens in 2017. By 2018, Samsung is willing to double the units and provide up to 180 million units of OLED displays to Apple.
Undoubtedly, Apple is getting a lot of criticism due to its latest launches. But, with an OLED display for iPhone 9, there is a possibility to rule the industry with the standardized product once again.
