Display & Software
The Oppo device has a 5-inch IPS LCD display having a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels with 293 ppi. What makes it even better is the fact that there is the 2.5D curved edges to the display. The smooth LCD screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 4 on top.
The smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. And the company’s very own ColorOS v3.0 sits on the top.
Processor & RAM
The 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor powers the new Oppo phone. The processor is supported by 2GB RAM making its functioning smoother and lighter. Considering the Oppo A37 price in India, the device could have packed in a better set of processor and RAM.
There’s native room of 16GB in the device for storing your media and all kinds of files and apps. And to add to it, you can increase it with the help of a microSD card up to 128GB. What Oppo has indeed done well here is that it has made space for a dedicated slot for this very task. There’s room for a couple of nanoSIMs as well as a microSD card. So, there can be three cards inside the A37 at any time. So, as per the Oppo A37 review, that’s a good upside.
Considering the Oppo A37 price, we can’t help but say that the photography output can be a tad of an overstatement on the part of the company. The primary camera is 8MP Type 1/3.2” sensor along with an f/2.2 lens. As for the secondary camera, it’s a 5MP shooter having Type 1/4” f/2.4. The pixel output is nothing much to talk about. However, a single pixel size is 1.4μm, which might spell some satisfying performance even in low light conditions.
Moreover, the A37 has obligatory beautification functionality along with Ultra HD mode. This is capable of generating images as heavy as 24MP from the main shooter.
