Review and Specifications of LAVA Iris 455

In the world of Smartphones, a latest mobile phone launched in India, a single processor Smartphones are the things of the past. But on the other hand, the quad-core processors are having a field day. One of the latest Smartphones in the dual-core category is the Lava Iris 455. With dual-core processor Smartphones being the order of the day, here is what Lava has to offer with Iris 455.

The design & built

A look is what tells you all about a gadget, then why won’t the looks be important here? Lava has got a sleek design for this Smartphone. The size matters the most when it comes to designing a certain handset. One look at the phone will tell you that there is something certainly on the phone.

In harsh daylight, it will be indeed difficult to view these buttons. However, they are a class apart when you view them in the dark.

Processor & RAM

If you are aware of the features and specifications of the Iris 454, you will realize that the Iris 455 is the elder sibling of the Iris 454. This Android Smartphone is also built with a dual-core 1GHz processor and is powered with PowerVR SGX531 graphics processor. The phone sports a 512MB of RAM.

The built-in storage of the phone is 4GB and you can expand it up to 32GB with the MicroSD card.

Display

A 4.5” capacitive screen is captivating indeed. The images, the videos, and the text, you name it, are all crystal clear. The resolution of 960 X 540 (qHD) hardly puts any pressure on the eyes.

Camera

The Iris 455 comes with two cameras – the front and the rear. The rear camera is a powerful 5MP camera that allows you to shoot clear images and videos. The camera is accompanied by LED flash and AF. On the other hand, the front camera is just a plain VGA (0.3MP) unit.

Battery & OS

A 1500mAh battery helps run the phone. Keeping in mind the 5MP camera, the battery could have been made a tad powerful.

The entire system runs on Android Jelly Bean v4.1. However, it would be too premature to comment on the v4.2 version as yet.

Connectivity & General

For seamless connectivity, the Bluetooth comes in handy. There is also USB connector in case data needs to be transferred through the port. for web surfing, there are Android browser and the Google Chrome.

The latest mobile phone launched in India, all these features are good if we compare it with the cost.
