Samsung will be displaying the Galaxy Camera 2 at the CES 2014. The price of the Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 is still not known. The camera is the successor to the Samsung Galaxy camera. The device comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The CES event is organized in the next week at Las Vegas.
The Galaxy camera has 16.3 MP 1/2.3-inch BSI CMOS sensor apart from 21x optical zoom. There is a 1.6GHz quad-core processor that powers the functionality of the camera. The Galaxy device has 2GB of RAM.
The internal memory of the camera is 8GB. However, only 2.8GB of the memory is user accessible. But the memory can be increased up to 64GB with the help of a MicroSD card. So, that is enough stuff to save images as well as videos.
Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and NFC are the connectivity options in the camera. With these functions, it is easy to transfer the data or connect to the internet with ease. As a matter of fact, there is no word on the 3G or LTE connection option. So, it is doubtful if Samsung isn’t having any SIM slot option. It was available in this device’s predecessor.
There was also a cheaper version of the Wi-Fi only variant of the Samsung Galaxy. It looks like the Galaxy 2 follows that trend. It is also still not known if Samsung will come up with another variant of the Galaxy Camera 2 for only cellular connectivity later.
The price isn’t mentioned by Samsung yet. However, it should not be a long wait as the price will soon be known during the CES next week. We will update you about the same. So, stay tuned.
