Samsung has launched the Samsung Galaxy Core 2 brining their yet another Smartphone Launch in India. The device comes with Android 4.4 KitKat. The price of the Samsung Galaxy Core 2 in India is Rs. 11,900.
Samsung Galaxy Core 2 Launch
There wasn’t a lot of buzz about the launch of this device. However, it is now available on the Indian official online store of the company. You may recall the Galaxy Core that was launched in the month of June last year. The new device is the successor to it.
Operating System & Display
The Galaxy Core 2 comes with Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box OS. It is accompanied by the TouchWiz Essence UI on top from Samsung. The screen is a 4.5-inch WVGA TFT display and has a resolution of 480 X 800 pixels.
There is a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. It is supported by 768MB RAM. Taking the price tag of the device into account, the device would have been better off with more RAM than what is currently offered.
Samsung Galaxy Core 2 launch has brought with it two cameras, as is often seen these days in Smartphones. The primary camera is a healthy 5MP autofocus. It has LED flash, while the secondary camera is a VGA shooting unit with 0.3MP.
There is 4GB of internal memory capacity for the Samsung Galaxy Core 2. At face value it may look a bit short as you can do a lot with the phone’s camera. However, there is space for increasing the memory up to 64GB with microSD card. So, that should solve your memory problem.
According to the latest new Smartphone news, the connectivity options in the Samsung device include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n, 3G and Micro-USB.
Battery & Dimensions
The battery in the Samsung device is a sufficient 2000mAh battery. Though the backup details aren’t available for now, that should be satisfactory and enough for moderate use.
The dimensions of the phone are 130.3mm X 68mm X 9.8mm and weighs pretty light at 138 grams.
Samsung has the history and goodwill of dishing out quality products. India has always been a lucrative market and the Samsung Galaxy Core 2 is also expected to do good business for the South Korean firm.
