The Samsung Galaxy S4 has created history by becoming the fastest-selling Android phone to date. As they say, history repeats itself. It was the Samsung Galaxy S3 that was also the fastest-selling Android phone when it was launched. There is no doubt that the flagship model is making waves for the South Korean company.
The Galaxy S4 was put on sales from the last month, April 27 to be specific. Since then, the company claims, more than 10 million units have been sold off. The sales were so hot that this particular device reached and crossed this landmark sales figure than any of the previous models launched by the company.
Though the Galaxy S3 was the previous best performing commercial device, it took about 50 days to reach the 10-million sales mark. Going back a bit, it can be noted that Galaxy S2 needed around 150 days – five months, to do the same business. While the Galaxy S was still slower with seven months.
However, the Galaxy S4 not only outclassed its own predecessors it is also faster than its key competitor – the HTC One. It is being reported that the Galaxy S4 is twice as fast as the HTC gadget.
After the success of the Samsung Galaxy S4, it is just a matter of time before Samsung stare at the Galaxy S5. It needs no mention that there could be unique and novel features in the next version. If the reports are anything to go by, the Galaxy S5 is already under development.
