Just as Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S5 the prices of its ancestor the Samsung Galaxy S4 dipped by nearly Rs. 10,000. The price of Samsung Galaxy S4 in India now is nearly Rs. 30,000. This shows a drop of about 25%.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 was launched in India at a price tag of Rs. 41, 500. But now after the launch of Samsung Galaxy S5, the same device carries the best price of Rs. 29,199. The price was spotted on ShopClues.com.
Some other prominent ecom portals like Snapdail, Amazon and Flipkart are also selling the device. The price of the Samsung gadget varies a bit, but more or less costs Rs. 30,000.
However, there is still no official word of a price cut for Samsung Galaxy S4. But in some other developments, Samsung India has declared that they are running a buyback offer for the Samsung Galaxy S4. The same offers are also running for two other devices – the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
This offer gives the customers at least Rs. 10,000 in cash for the Galaxy S4 in exchange for other older Smartphones.
The company is offering around Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 5,000 for the Galaxy S4 mini and Galaxy Note 2. An EMI scheme exists for the S4 mini with a period of 18 months with an EMI cost of Rs. 1,028.
