The Samsung Galaxy S9 announcement along with the bigger S9+ has been confirmed. The twosome will be announced on Feb. 25. This puts to rest the report of the rumors where this flagship was likely to be unveiled in February. And now, we know the exact unveiling date. As we know it, it’s the Samsung Unpacked event, which will be held a day prior to the start of the MWC 2018.

The Unpacked event is the day that’s held a day in advance of the first day of the Barcelona event. Last year, Samsung had postponed the Galaxy S8 flagship launch until March 2017.

You won’t find any official invitation on the teaser of the Samsung Galaxy S9 announcement. What you see is the number “9” in purple color. The words  “The Camera” are to the left, while “Reimagined” follows it in the circle of “9” as you can see in the image below.

Some Expected Features of the Galaxy X9/S9+

As we move on through the developments of this year’s flagships from Samsung, this launch date doesn’t mean the end of the rumors. Or even the speculated features of the Galaxy S9/S9+. Earlier we had stumbled upon a leak that spoke of the 512GB variant of the Galaxy S9. Another rumor spelled the possible RAM options the new flagship might be carrying.

As far as some expected features of the new Galaxy S9/S9+, they both will be supported by the Snapdragon 845 chip. It’s believed Samsung has pocketed entire available stock of the SD845 SoCs. The smaller Galaxy will have 5.8-inch AMOLED screen, while the bigger brother will have a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display.

As far as the battery backup is concerned, they will have 3,000mAh for the smaller and 3,500mAh battery for the Plus variant.

Anyway, as long as there isn’t the Samsung Galaxy S9 announcement, we have enough time to stumble upon a variety of leaks and rumors. Stay tuned as we keep bringing to you all the news regarding the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ launch.
