Samsung Unveils A Water-Resistant Speaker And Mobile Printer At CES 2017

Samsung has unveiled a  water resistant speaker as well as a mobile printer at the CES 2017. Read on to know more details on the new devices from the South Korean company.

The CES is the best time of the year as customers can see some amazing tech products being unveiled at the event. Samsung looks all geared up for 2017, as it has unveiled several products at the CES 2017 in Las Vegas.The latest offering from Samsung is a water-resistant portable speaker called “Level Box Slim.” The water-resistant portable speaker unveiled by the Korean tech giant measures 148.4 x 79 x 25.1mm and has an IPx7 rating. It can withstand an immersion of 30 minutes in water in up to one-meter water.

The 8W water-resistant portable speaker is equipped with a 2,600 mAh battery which would provide up to 30 hours of music playback. It is worth noting that portable speakers from Sony, Bose, and Beats have already saturated the market. Samsung is banking on the IPX7 rating as a differentiator factor.

Samsung also unveiled a portable wireless printer which is termed as “Image Stamp,” yes both the names could have been better. The portable printer is way different than the existing wireless printers offered by LG and other tech giants.

The portable wireless printer will let the users print the photos as exactly seen on the mobile screen, unlike other mobile printers that require 3:2 ratio. The printer will also let the users QR code to store the essential information about the photos.

Both products from Samsung, the water-resistant portable speaker, and portable wireless printer appear to be targeted at next-gen customers. The cost of either device is not available yet but stay tuned for more updates.
