Snapchat Story Playlist has been launched by the Snapchat team. It replaces the Auto advance feature and doesn’t load the next story automatically.
Snapchat Story Playlist
The Auto Advance feature in Snapchat was released back in March 2016. It was not very successful as a lot of complaints from the users came up immediately. As per the users, it got impossible for them to watch an individual story by choosing them. Now, Snapchat has launched and updated the app with the latest Story Playlist. They have even removed the Auto Advance feature. The Snapchat team said in a blog post, “Sometimes we just want to see what our close friends or family are up to – not all of our friends – and Auto Advance prevented that.” In the Auto Advance, the users were taken to the next story automatically.
The updated app allows you to tap on a story and watch it unlike before. The Snapchat team understood the problem of users and have worked to make the app glitch free. In the updated app, the Story Playlist acts as a replacement for the Auto Advance feature. It has now become very easy to choose a series of stories and watch that on full screen in the selected order. You can do this by tapping on the Story thumbnail which can be found on the left-hand side of your contact name. Then you can add your friend’s story to the Story Playlist. Finally, you will find a play button on the bottom, by clicking on that you’ll be able to watch the story.
The stories on the Snapchat Story Playlist can be watched individually or also one by one in a sequence. It is completely your choice to select the stories in the order you want to watch them. Earlier, it was redirected to the next story as soon as one friend’s story was viewed. Snapchat Story Playlist also includes “puts friends first“. This means you will never miss any story from your friends and loved ones. The news has been shifted to the bottom to make it easier for you to be updated about your added people’s stories first.
