Sony Mobile has revealed the Xperia Z Ultra Smartphone, which is the World’s slimmest Smartphone. Sony claims the phone to be the slimmest in the world with just 6.5mm. The announcement came during the Mobile Asia Expo in Shanghai.
There is no word on the availability of the Smartphone in the United States. Even the details of the price or the launch aren’t known yet. In the market, the phone has the largest HD display at 6.4 inches.
Like its predecessor, the Xperia Z, the new Smartphone is also dustproof and waterproof. The phone can remain unharmed in deeper fresh water than the Xperia Z at 1.5m for around 30 minutes.
Though there is no word on the launch date, there are reports claiming that the phone should be available in the third quarter of this year.
The Android 4.2 Jelly Bean powers the Xperia Z Ultra. It is expected to be available in three colors like purple, white and black. It runs on a 2.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. With this processor, Sony says it is also the fastest Smartphone in the world.
The 6.44-inch touchscreen is the most exciting feature of the phone. It comes with a resolution of 1920 X 1080 and a whopping 16.7 million colors. Sony is said to have used the Bravia technology to bring life to the colors with Triluminos display. In this technology, it analyzes the image in question and produces the missing pixels for better optimization.
