Sony Xperia X Compact launched in the US yesterday – on 25th September and Xperia XZ is coming on 2nd October. Sony has made some more announcements. Let’s take a look!
Sony Xperia X Compact
Sony first unveiled Xperia X Compact and Xperia XZ earlier this year at the Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin 2016. They were soon announced, but the price and launch date for the U.S. were still unknown. It has been speculated that these phones are going to be expensive like the other phones from the Xperia flagship range. Sony Xperia X Compact has become available in the US on yesterday – 25th September. The Sony Xperia XZ will hit the US markets on 2nd October, exactly a week later. These will be the respective dates for both the phones for getting ready to be sold on Amazon and Best Buy. Sony Xperia X Compact is priced at $500 and Xperia XZ at $700.
The Sony Xperia X Compact and the Xperia XZ have very similar features. They sport 23-megapixel primary camera including the triple image sensing technology and 13-megapixel secondary camera including Sony Exmor R ISO6400. The difference is that the Xperia X Compact doesn’t support 4K video recording capabilities. Xperia XZ is powered by Qualcomm SD820 and Xperia X Compact by SD650. Along with this, Xperia XZ features include Gorilla Glass 4.0, 2.5D curved glass, display of 1080 pixels. The LTE Cat 9 has support for 3GB RAM. The storage capacity is 32GB and is expandable with a microSD card.
