The upcoming iPhone 8 might be deprived of two things – the Touch ID as well as the white color option if the current reports are anything to go by.
Upcoming iPhone 8
As we are nearing the announcement and launch of the upcoming iPhone 8, there are still leaks and rumors coming out. We had talked about the iPhone 8 design, in the last week and now we are talking about the color. According to reports coming from Macotakara, there will be neither the Touch ID nor the white color variant of iPhone 8. This clearly means that all iPhone will only have a black front panel. Obviously, there will be lesser color options to choose from.
One thing is sure that the upcoming iPhone 8 will resemble some of the leaked images we have seen before, according to Asian Supply sources. Moreover, the release of the new iPhone will be pushed in the Oct-Dec quarter. Reports were doing the rounds that Foxconn was making 200 units on a daily basis. So, there’s no doubt that the supply will be short and delayed.
Apple Pay Authentication
According to a few previous reports, Apple may bring out a Face ID for payments through Apple Pay instead of Touch ID. This logically looks correct if Apple’s ditching the Touch ID. And with Apple adopting Face ID, it’s almost certain that we won’t see the Touch ID in the new iPhone.
The Face ID will be quite fast and on par with a fingerprint scanner. The way fingerprint unlocks your phone in a matter of a few milliseconds, the same is with Face ID.
