Nearly a month into 2017 and already several high-end phones have been released. The Nokia 6, Asus Zenfone AR, Zenfone 3 Zoom, Samsung’s 2017 series of Galaxy A7, A5 and A3 were all launched last month at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 in the city of Las Vegas. The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 will be held in Barcelona from February 27 to March 2. The MWC will also see the launch of some new models.
It is a good time to evaluate the top 5 phones of 2017 that one can expect. Nokia 8 also known as Nokia P1 will come out with some updates in system configuration. There will be two variants of this phone. One variant will come with a Snapdragon 830 processor with 6GB RAM. It will also have 64/128GB storage and a microSD card, a 24 MP OIS and an EIS primary camera with a 12 MP front-shoot. Front-facing, dual speakers, are also going to be a part of it.
Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus
The Moto G5 series of Lenovo is not a bad bet either. The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus are expected to be launched this year. The Moto G5 will come with a 5.0-inch full HD display of 1920x1080p. Its battery is expected to be 3,000mAh. The Moto G5 Plus, on the other hand, will sport a 5.5-inch full HD display and a 3,100mAh battery. The other features will remain the same.
Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus
The new and improved Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are also expected to make an entry into the market this year. The upcoming iPhone is rumored to be featuring a dual screen. The Blackberry Mercury made by BlackBerry’s Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partner TCL, will be launched on February 25. It will sport a QWERTY keypad, the trademark of Blackberry. It will also come with a fingerprint sensor and the Android Nougat out-of-the-box. It will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 CPU processor. It will have a 3GB RAM. In addition to this, it will sport an 18MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. It is expected to support Type C USB ports, as reported by Gadgets 360.
