After Vivo, reports suggest that the Xiaomi Mi 7 in-display fingerprint scanner could be a reality. The new tech is picking up quick and fast. No doubt it’s far easier to work with.
Xiaomi Mi 7 In-Display Fingerprint Scanner
After Vivo premiered an in-display fingerprint sensor, companies around the world have been vying for the feature to be present in their phones too. Now it seems that the Xiaomi Mi 7 could have the in-display fingerprint sensor on their phone.
The official release of the Mi 7 has already been delayed. But reports are not adding up that this delay is due to the adaptation of this new technology. In a recent MIUI source code batch, this evidence came forward. In a recent Weibo comment, Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 7 would be having the in-display fingerprint sensor.
Though the conversation was very lite and the following comments seemed to brush off the confirmation. And this can be a hint. This exchange of comments occurred in the comment section of a post that contained official Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S.
Though this can be just a light-hearted comment, this evidence was enough for users to anticipate a Xiaomi Mi 7 in-display fingerprint scanner.
Apart from this rumour, the Xiaomi Mi 7 is also rumoured to sport a notched display, which is something many Android phones are replicating these days. The Mi 7 is also likely to come with a Snapdragon 845 chipset, 8GB RAM. The Xiaomi Mi 7 will start at a price of $475. This is equivalent to Rs. 31,739 as per the current exchange rate.
What are your views on the Xiaomi Mi 7 in-display fingerprint scanner feature. The feature is getting common with various smartphones now bringing it on. The Vivo X21 is one such example of the same feature. Do key in your comments to express your thoughts.
