Xiaomi first revealed the phablet Mi Max in May previous year in China and then in June in India. It was the company’s first try on making a Phablet. Xiaomi Mi Max is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Hexa Core/ 652 Octa Core CPU. Mi Max runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with operating system MIUI. It has a battery backup of 4850 mAh. It has an ultra-thin metal body and has a 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 6.44-inch Full HD IPS. Xiaomi Mi Max has a storage capacity of 3GB/4GB of RAM including 32GB, 64GB or 128GB variants in internal storage. It sports a rear camera of 16 megapixels and front camera of 5 megapixels.
According to the current rumour, we get to know that Xiaomi is coming up with the second-generation Mi Max 2. The company is planning to launch it this year in May which is exactly a year later than the launch of Mi Max. We also get to know some of the features of Mi Max 2. Going by the rumours, Xiaomi Mi Max will be featuring 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which is definitely higher than the previous version. In terms of battery backup, Mi Max 2 has 5000 mAh battery and supports fast charging. It has same 6.44-inch display and runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. We still have to discover about the camera quality. The operating system, though not specified but we can easily assume it to be Android 7.0 Nougat based MIUI.
