Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Launch to Begin with a Bang Today

Amongst the numerous rumours, we saw the one that talked about the October end launch of Mi Note 2. The China-based manufacturer had previously disclosed the name of their upcoming smartphone. And later, it ratified the curved display feature for Mi Note 2, which resembles the dual-edge display on Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

A while back, the company has put the spotlight on the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 launch details, including the date, name, etc. The leaks that followed a trail from a few weeks has revealed many specifications and pricing details of Mi Note 2.

The rumours that surfaced lately, proclaims the curved display on the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. The much-anticipated device could also see dual rear camera setup along with an Iris scanner. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will support a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display. There might be a 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. The smartphone is also expected to sport a large battery alongside a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 launch would see two variants of the device a 4GB RAM + 64GB memory with a price tag of CNY 2,799 (approx. Rs. 27,800). The other variant would pack a 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and will be available at CNY 2,999 (approx. 29,800).

The camera features of Mi Note 2 revealed a dual rear camera sensor. There would be 23MP camera with Sony IMX318 sensor and 12MP Sony IMX378 sensor. Additionally, the front camera would come with an 8MP sensor.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 was also rumoured to carry a 4100mAh battery alongside a Quick Charge 3.0 technology. As for the connectivity options, the Mi Note 2 might come with WiFi 802.11 ac, GPS, 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C connectivity, and NFC. With dual SIM support, the Mi Note 2 is expected to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, alongside MIUI 8 support.
