Android Nougat 7.1
Android Nougat 7.1 is supposed to be the first ever maintenance update. Google already promised regularly scheduled quarterly maintenance updates. The latest news is that the first ever update to roll out might be Android Nougat 7.1 including a developer preview. Marshmallow never lifted up beyond 6.0.1 but now with the upgrade from 7.0 to version 7.1 We can expect more from the upcoming Nougat 7.1 and suggests that the maintenance updates are more substantial in comparison to the security updates.
Rumors are that this might include API level 25. This will get a testing on the hardware of upcoming Nexus devices. The MR1 developer preview and Nexus devices areexpected to be out in this fall. Reports also trolled around claiming the testing of Android O is being currently underway. But, this is just a word going around and might nothing have to do with the Android Nougat 7.1.
Will it be too early to talk about Android O? Certainly it would be It’s just time to talk about the LG V20, the first ever smartphone on Android Nougat. However, it will be interesting to see what steps Google takes from here on.
