Android Oreo: The Next Official Name of the New Android Version

Android Oreo is an official Google’s platform that will be circulated in all the supported smartphones in coming months. Google loves to make it big and this time, the company chose the best day to reveal the Android O.

Android Oreo or O, which was at the top of the possible Android names, will not have tons of latest features but Google has confirmed that the platform is in the final phase and it will include some additional features like picture-in-picture multitasking, Notifications dots on your favorite applications, improved battery management which is must for all Android users, and a host of redesigned emoji.

Revealed on the occasion of a solar eclipse. O is referred to Oreo which is an updated version of Nougat. You might be interested in knowing if your device is compatible with the Android Oreo.

The company has already rolled out the latest version of Android which is accessible through the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). For the smartphones which are owned by the company like Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, and the Pixel, the platform is still in carrier testing and will be rolled out in coming days. Other devices like Pixel C tablet and Nexus Player will also receive the update in the coming month. This is not the first time that the company has used a brand for the launch of the latest Android version. KitKat was the first brand which was launched in 2013 with a combined partnership of Hershey and this time, it is Oreo. They have started to roll out the latest platform and as expected the latest smartphone by Google will have the updated version of Android which will be new Pixel.
