Google Motorola has come up with a cheaper Smartphone especially for the emerging markets in the world. The Motorola Moto G was leaked ahead of the November 13 launch.
Motorola has plans in front of its eyes as they are planning to make available the Smartphone expertise to the world at a price that would be less by almost 70 per cent. The Moto G Smartphone has a lowest price tag of $179 in the United States and that too without having any contract.
It can be easily compared to a price tag of $600 or even more in some cases for a contract of two years, which has been a tradition when it comes to having a contract. The $179 price tag is applicable to the phone with 8GB of storage, while the 16GB version costs $199.
The idea behind having a cheap Smartphone is to make available Smartphones to around 500 million people around the world who cannot afford to purchase such mobiles that cost upwards $200. The consumers were just limited to having those phones with the technology that is roughly one year old and for this reason were obviously not able to run the latest services, updates or apps, the company observed.
The best of the markets for the Google owned Motorola is the emerging markets in the world. However, that is not limited to other places other than the US. The company will also be targeting those people in the State who are conscious of their budget and like to keep an eye on how much they are spending on it.
At times people can get phones at lower costs even with contracts. However, the high service fees again increase the expenditure as the cost of subsidizing the phone is also included in that. Moto G is certainly a device that will try to bridge the gap between the potential consumers and high-end Smartphones.
The phone comes with a 4.5 inch screen and will have a Qualcomm processor. The phone comes bundled with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. However, the Android 4.3 KitKat may get introduced only in January next year.
The Moto G can deliver HD videos, but only in 720p as against the 1020p found in most leading Smartphones. There is 329 ppi of resolution that looks better with the 4 inch phones, but falls short of the Samsung Galaxy S4 that has a five inch screen.
