The Feb 20 launch is going to be quite exciting. Three biggies are coming out with their offerings – the Samsung Galaxy S10, Vivo V15 Pro, and the Xiaomi Mi 9.
Feb 20 Launch: Samsung Galaxy S10
With each passing day, the leaks, rumors, and news reports surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S10 launch are piling up. The Feb 20 launch is going to be exciting, though we now know almost everything regarding the Galaxy S10.
In some recent developments, the phone has been out with a luxurious ceramic white color. There had been variants of the Galaxy S10 as well as the Galaxy S10e in Blue. But the renders seen here are that of the Galaxy S10+. And are quite cool looking.
You can easily compare the roundup of the Galaxy S10 that we did a few days back, and the current crop of news. It’s worth noting how things have changed since then.
As per the recent leaks, the Galaxy S10+ variant with a combination of 12GB of RAM with 1TB of storage will have the Luxurious Ceramic White only. Talking further about colors, the toned down version with 8GB RAM and 512GB memory will come in colors like Pearl White, Green, Blue colors, and Prism Black.
In related news, the pre-orders of the Galaxy S10 have got underway in the Vietnamese and the US market. Also, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Limited Edition is likely to be available from March 15.
Feb 20 Launch: Vivo V15 Pro
Another important launch on the same day is that of the Vivo V15 Pro. It’s the successor to the Vivo V11 Pro, which the brought out last year. One of the talking points of the V15 Pro is pop-up selfie camera.
That’s not all. The phone will also have a triple-rear camera setup as well. And comes with one 48MP Samsung ISOCELL GM1 camera sensor. That’s definitely going to add fuel to the fire with the 48MP camera phones popping up in the market. The other two camera sensors are 8MP + 5MP.
Continuing with the camera feature, the Vivo V15 Pro’s primary attraction remains the same. Another key feature is the phone’s selfie camera. And Vivo is terming it as the world’s first selfie pop up camera with a 32MP sensor.
The Qualcomm SD675 processor powers the phone in the company of 6GB RAM. The native storage is touted to be 128GB. And it’s still in the dark if the phone will support the MicroSD card. Amazon has added the Notify Me page for the Vivo V15 Pro, from where you can grab the phone.
Though the camera is hogging all the limelight, it should not be forgotten that there are also other features like Dual Engine fast charging. And it’ll help in charging the 3,700mAh battery faster than the traditional charging. As the Notify Me page is already live, it’s only a matter of a few hours before the selling price gets revealed on the Feb 20 launch.
Feb 20 Launch: Xiaomi Mi 9
Coming to the last launch of the day, it’s probably the most exciting of them all – the Xiaomi Mi 9. The first thing that immediately comes to mind is the launch date. Samsung had already talked about Feb 20 launch date of the Galaxy S10 series. And once that was confirmed and official, Xiaomi announced their Xiaomi Mi 9 launch date.
The above image is one of the renders of the Mi 9, which the CEO Lei Jun shared. Like the Vivo V15 Pro, the Mi 9 will also be boasting of a 48MP camera. And this is pretty much the same as the Redmi Note 7, which also came with a similar rear camera sensor.
One piece of good news for the Mi fans is that the Mi 9 will be running the latest Snapdragon 855 processor. And the same has officially been confirmed by Donovan Sung, who is Xiaomi’s Global spokesperson, and Director of Product Management. This makes the Mi 9 the first flagship from Xiaomi running the SD855. This means we will be seeing the best processor on the Feb 20 launch.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 also features a Sony IMX586 48MP camera sensor. The other two sensors will be a 12MP sensor, while the other will be 3D ToF. The selfie camera is also a powerful module with a 24MP sensor.
Xiaomi Mi 9 Explorer Edition
Apart from the Mi 9, Xiaomi will also be bringing out the
Mi 9 Explorer Edition. The render shown below is that of the Explorer Edition, which shows four camera sensors stacked vertically. A few details regarding the actual work of the camera sensors are still in the dark. But we should know it soon.
By the way, have you spotted the different sensor with the red ring around it? That’s the primary sensor of the Mi 9 EE. Let’s wait a few more hours to know about the phones in more details.
