Josh Mobiles, a little-known Indian handset making company has launched Fortune HD, an Android Smartphone for Rs. 11,999. The phone comes with 3.5-inch display and has a resolution of 540 X 960 pixels.
The Fortune HD has 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and 1 GB of RAM. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Fortune HD has a rear 8MP camera and a 3MP front camera. However, the OS in the phone isn’t the latest one.
The Josh gadget runs on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, so there’s one downside of the phone. On the memory front too, there isn’t much to boast of. The built-in storage is just 2 GB, however, like most other Smartphones, can be increased up to 32 GB.
Deepak Gupta, who is the Director of Fortune HD, said that the phone has exhilarating features. The HD screen will be great when it comes to viewing images and videos.
However, it will not be easy for the Josh Smartphone to compete in the Smartphone category. The rivals in the industry like Xolo, Micromax, Karbonn, and Zen come with quad-core processors. To add to that the screens in these Smartphones are of 5-inches.
To add to that the Smartphone has an older version of the Android OS. That may put off potential buyers. These days there are lots of Smartphones that run the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
