Micromax has finally launched the much-awaited Canvas 4 for Rs 17,999. The launch took place in New Delhi at an event. The Canvas 4 is the latest flagship to be launched by Micromax. The price tag of Rs. 17,999 could certainly have taken many by surprise as that is considerably lower than what was expected.
There were talks that there could be a higher price tag for the phone. However, the company had said that the price would be revealed only on July 8 – today. Micromax had started pre-bookings from June 28.
The phone has got a lot of marketing through various media, the TV commercials being the prominent ones. The TV audience has been seeing the campaigns since the 19th of June. That can have a positive impact and can attract the potential buyers.
The Canvas 4 comes with a 5-inch display and you can blow to unlock the phone. There is the True HD IPS display but isn’t a full-HD one. The display could have been a lot better than the 720p. The gadget is supported by a quad-core processor.
The Canvas 4 has a 13MP rear camera, which comes in a 5 lens array. Some of the key features of the phone are the HDR, optical image stabilization and has 1080p video. There is also the 5MP front camera. The company has announced that the phone will receive OTA updates.
Like the latest Samsung Galaxy phones, even the Canvas 4 has many mind-blowing features. The Canvas phone can click 99 pictures in just 15 seconds flat. It can also playback simultaneous videos. It is also built with gesture controls to control the device easily.
The phone runs on 1.2Ghz quad-core MT6589 MediaTek processor and Android 4.2.1. The phone has 1GB of RAM. Canvas 4 has 16GB internal memory and with MicroSD card, it can be expanded up to 32GB.
