Microsoft Surface phones continue to remain one of the highly anticipated phones of 2017. Although the company has not revealed any details or a prototype, ardent fans are waiting for an ultimate device.

According to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, the company has not stopped thinking about producing mobile phones. Reportedly, the company is looking at “different forms and functions for mobile devices.” Mr Nadella has said.  In November last year, Satya Nadella was reported to have told Australia Financial Review that Microsoft has its sights set on the “ultimate mobile device.”

From the rumours that are doing rounds, it is quite possible that the tech giant is creating a smartphone, under its surface brand. This phone is reportedly being called the Surface Phone.

The Surface Phone will run on the Windows 10 Redstone operating system. Some wild speculation suggests that  Microsoft Surface phones could have three versions; the consumer version, the business version and the enthusiast version. It will have a ClearBlack AMOLED display. The Microsoft Surface phones will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and will have up to an 8GB RAM.

A 20MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera are among the other features of the Microsoft Surface phones. These will have Carl Zeiss lens. An additional attraction for business and professionals are that the Microsoft Surface phones are going to support Win32 apps. It might also have a fingerprint sensor built into the screen. The screen size is rumoured to be the same size as the one of the Nokia Lumia XL, and it will be a phablet.

The kickstand concept will also be a part of the Microsoft Surface phones. As for the liquid cooling technology, which will reportedly be used in the Microsoft Surface phone, it is not quite clear what its function is. The screen size is set at a 5.5-inch HD display and the resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. Although the battery shall be fixed at a 3000mAh, information is not available whether the battery size will change with the change in variants.
