The Moto G has started getting the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update ahead of schedule. Motorola has made the announcement that the Moto G will receive the updates over-the-air (OTA).
The company had earlier made an announcement during the launch of the Moto G that there would be updates for the Smartphones Android 4.2.2 KitKat in the month of January. However, it looks like the updates have begun ahead of schedule.
Punit Soni, who is the VP of Motorola Mobility, Product Management,has confirmed that the updates will start updating from Thursday. The information was published in the blog. However, the blog post does not disclose the details of Android 4.2.2 updates for any carriers or countries. But the updates will soon be available for different regions as well.
The update speaks of newer features, some bug fixes as well as improvements. The features include navigation bars as well as restyled status. The enhancements include new emoji support in colors, a novel full-screen mode, photo editing features etc.
There is also support for printing images and photos from Google Docs and the ability to access other content with the help of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. There are also hosted services like HP ePrinters, and Google Cloud. The update also brings in the new version of Google Hangouts.
