According to the latest report, Nokia is all set to unveil the Windows RT tablet in the month of September. The Nokia device will be built with a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor. According to The Verge, in the United States, the tab will be sold through AT&T.
The tablet is likely to be unveiled during a launch event in New York. The tentative date for the launch is slated to be September 26. According to a blog post from Windows Phone Central, Nokia will be holding an event for two days – on September 26 and 27.
The tablet, which is codenamed Vanquish, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor will power the tablet. The Windows RT tablet will offer support to LTE, while the AT&T will be the carrier in the US.
The photos of the Nokia device surfaced on Friday on Digiwo – a Chinese site. In the snapshots, a red device is visible along with the logo of Windows RT and Nokia. The photos also show the gadget with the name ‘Verizon’. This could probably suggest that the tab is likely to be sold through both AT&T and Verizon Wireless.
Though the photos came out in the public, there is still no word on the specifications of the tablet. Earlier in February, the CEO of Nokia Stephen Elop had said that the company was interested in tablets, but did not announce anything specific about the devices.
