Amidst all the rumors about OnePlus 6, the phone seems to have allegedly appeared on Geekbench. Is it what as we guessed it would be?
OnePlus 6 Leaks
The motto of OnePlus is to produce ‘flagship killers’ and they have never failed to do a number of times in the past. OnePlus 6 too, has not disappointed us as the Geekbench scores are quite solid and even higher than the recently announced Samsung’s Galaxy S9+.
The OnePlus 6 rumors were flowing in since months and with the OnePlus 5T going out of stock, the flagship was expected to be launched by June. And the appearance at Geekbench paints a better picture of what the device would be. The alleged phone appears as NS NS P7819 which is the same prototype number we have seen in earlier rumors as well.
As per the listing, the device scores 2535 points on the single core and 8632 points on multi-core test which is very impressive as it beats the score of Galaxy s9+. Recently, an alleged appearance on AnTuTu benchmark also suggests that OnePlus6 performs better than Xiomi’s upcoming M Mix 2S and Apple’s iPhone X.
With Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 Soc powering the device, OnePlus 6 will be having 6GB RAM and is likely to be run on Android 8.1 Oreo-based OxygenOS out of the box. The phone would also have 64GB and 256GB storage options and a bigger battery than OnePlus 5T.
The phone will also feature a 19:9 display compared to the 18:9 display of the OnePlus 5T, which can, in turn, necessitate a front notch to house the sensors. It is also rumored to house a dual camera. Other notable features expected on the phone are -face unlock and dash charging.
The device is expected to retail at $749 in the US which is a huge difference compared to the price tag of $499 of OnePlus 5T when it was launched. However, prices of other storage variants are to be revealed.
Though these are just leaks and not official confirmations, we can be assured that OnePlus will meet or even exceed our expectations in creating the next best flagship killer of 2018.
