OnePlus 5T is out of stock

OnePlus 5T is out of stock in the US that had been for sale in the North American continent for only 4 months. And it sold out. This, in turn, tells us something about the popularity of the device. As per reports, OnePlus saw a 139 percent growth in North America and nearly 25 percent of its online sales come from the same continent. It is at this peak time that the official website confirms that OnePlus 5T is out of stock.

The Chinese company doesn’t bring a bunch of phones into the market but rather launches a single flagship a year which was later changed to two smartphones in 2016. Hence in 2017, the company launched OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T.

Since the OnePlus 5T is out of stock, this, as aforesaid, paves way for its successor, the OnePlus 6. It is expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Soc, 6GB and 8GB RAM, likely to be run on Android 8.1 Oreo-based OxygenOS out of the box with a 64GB and 256GB storage options and a bigger battery than OnePlus 5. OnePlus 6 is also speculated to be taller in size with 19:9 aspect ratio, compared to the 18:9 display of the OnePlus 5T.

As per the usual pattern set by the company, flagships are normally unveiled in June. But since the OnePlus 5T is out of stock, it could mean the company will likely break its tradition. It may even launch the OnePlus 6 by April, which is two months earlier than expected.

OnePlus 6 Expected Price

The phone is expected to retail at $749 in the US which is a huge difference compared to the price tag of $499 of OnePlus 5T when it was launched. Though OnePlus 5T is out of stock on the official website, a very few units might still be available on E-commerce sites including Amazon and E-bay.

Whatever speculations are being raised, if the company did go out of stock, the probability is that we shouldn’t be having much longer to find out. And OnePlus 6 already looks like it would be one of the bestselling handsets of 2018.
