The Oppo R17 has appeared on TENAA showcasing live images. But what’s catching the attention is the whopping 10GB of RAM it possibly might come with.

The Oppo R17 shows a lot of promise after the recent official launch of the Oppo R15 and R15 Dream Edition. And it rests on the glorious R series previous models, which makes it but natural for a lot of leaks to appear regarding this new R17 smartphone. You might have seen phones like the recently announced OnePlus 6 or the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 with 8GB of RAM power. Actually, these are just a couple of phones with 8GB RAM these days. However, the R17 seems to have broken the shackles by promising a 10GB RAM. Interesting, isn’t it?

The upcoming smartphone from Oppo has made a TENAA appearance – the certification site from China – showing some of its important specifications and features.

As you can see in the image, there are two cameras to the back of the Oppo R17 placed horizontally. It has an LED flash placed next to it. The power button is to the right of the phone, while the volume rockers are placed on the phone’s left-hand side.

The Oppo R17 comes with a 6.3-inches screen. The 3,415mAh battery will help keep the phone’s lights on. One important thing you can immediately notice is that the phone is lacking the fingerprint scanner. The R17 model comes with a model number PBCM00/ PBCT00. All the things are packed in dimensions of 156.7 mm x 74 mm x 7.9mm.

No Notched Display?

Another thing worth noticing is that there’s no notch in this leaked image. This is interesting, especially when there are so many Android phones coming out with a notched display. And in a scenario when Oppo has brought out phones like the Oppo A3s having a notch.

As far as the Oppo R17 launch is concerned, the news is still in the wings. We’ll update you as and when we get fresh info regarding this.
