Reliance Jio Fiber broadband plans to make it a reality of offering a whopping 600GB of data for Rs 500. This is a red signal for other companies in the market.
Reliance Jio Fiber Broadband Plans
Reliance conducted an annual general meeting (AGM) last month on 31st August along with the Reliance Jio Fiber broadband plans. In that meeting, Mukesh Ambani announced the Reliance Jio plans. He also disclosed that the company will soon be launching FTTH – Fiber to the Home Service. FTTH will sport an internet broadband speed in the region of 1Gbps. As per Phone Radar, Delhi and Mumbai will be the first two places where FTTH service will be tested by Reliance Jio. Also, just like JIO 4G 90 days Welcome Offer in collaboration with LeEco, the FTTH service will also available in the 90 days Welcome Offer. The report also suggests that after the Welcome Offer period, Jio will be launching the data plans. These data plans will start at a price of Rs 500. Reliance Jio has categorized these data plan offers into Gold, Platinum and Silver
The Special Offer Tariffs start with Rs 500 which provides 15Mbps speed, 600GB data and 30 days validity. The company offers two other plans of Rs 500. One of them will sport a 3.5GB cap each day with one-month validity. And, the other plan offers 72 hours of unlimited internet with a speed up to 60Mbps to be used before 30 days. There are 3 types of Rs 500 plans which are expected to get clearer once the company launches it with different names. There is also a one-day plan worth Rs 400 which offers unlimited data usage for 24 hours. The Silver, Gold and Platinum’s work pattern is not revealed by the report. The report only suggests that the data tariff will be based on speed, volume and price. Although, we would still like to wait for the official confirmation on FTTH service from Reliance.
The Reliance Jio fiber broadband plans that are speed-based ranges between 50Mbps and 600Mbps. 50Mbps plan offers 2000GB data and 600Mbps plan offers 300GB data with one month’s validity. The offered plan includes the Reliance JIO app usage which costs between Rs 1500 – Rs 5000 depending upon the plan. On the other hand, the plans that are volume-based are sub-categorized on the basis of each day usage. There is nothing specified about the speed and cost of volume-based plans in the report. But, it is clear that the volume-based plans will offer 30-day validity ranging between 5GB – 60 GB per day.
Apart from these Reliance Jio Fiber broadband plans, there also was the Samsung Jio preview offer a few days back.
